Registered Professional Nurse

Under general supervision, an employee in this class performs work in accordance with professional practices, special orders from doctors and established rules and regulations. General assignments are usually received from a professional supervisor responsible for assigning and supervising the work of the professional nursing staff. The incumbent is expected to perform these duties without detailed instructions. Supervision may be exercised over Licensed Practical Nurses, Medical Assistants, and other medical personnel. Does related work as required.
