Emergency Department Registrar (Dr) – Training and Non-Training

Position: Permanent full‑time (part‑time work available) at Rotorua Hospital.

About the Role

Rotorua ED is accredited for 24 months of ED training by the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (ACEM) including the paediatric logbook. We offer an anaesthetic rotation for trainees, as well as easily accessible placements in general medicine and paediatrics. We provide four hours of protected teaching per week, and several current FACEMs are involved in ACEM exam question writing and serve as an examiner.

Rotorua Hospital is a regional hospital that serves a diverse population (35% Māori). The patient mix includes trauma, medical, surgical, paediatric and minor presentations.
