Regulatory and Trade Compliance Lead (Seeds & Traits)

Position Overview

This role leads the import, export, and domestic logistics for biological materials to support the R&D and Regulatory teams in Brazil. Operating initially as a high-level individual contributor, the Regulatory and Trade Compliance Lead will be the technical reference within the company, responsible for designing, compliance-checking, and executing the cross-border and domestic movement of research materials from scratch.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute the end-to-end import and export processes biological materials, ensuring full compliance with Brazilian and international trade regulations.
• Act as the primary technical interface with Brazilian authorities, particularly MAPA (Ministério da Agricultura e Pecuária) managing import permits (LI), and phytosanitary certificates.
