Rehabilitation Assistant and Pressure Garment Technician

Please Note: although full training is provided for this role from experienced colleagues – previous experience and skills on a sewing machine are essential.

This rarely advertised role involves working with patients following burn injuries, head and neck, and plastic surgeries on the specialist wards at QVH where you will be alongside a range of other healthcare professionals providing rehabilitation. These sessions could include supporting a patient to wash and dress, walk, or engage in any activities of daily living. You will carry out care plans in order to help patients adapt to changes as a result of their illness or injury and be part of them achieving their maximum physical, emotional and social capabilities.
