Rehabilitation Counselor

Summary Provides recovery-oriented rehabilitation counseling services to Veterans in the Substance Use Disorder outpatient program. Delivers vocational and personal adjustment counseling, case coordination, assessments, job readiness training, placement support, and community employer outreach to help Veterans overcome barriers and achieve employment, education, independent living, and recovery goals. Responsibilities The duties for this position include but are not limited to: GS-9 and GS-11 Duties Provides recovery-oriented vocational and personal adjustment counseling to Veterans in the SUD outpatient program. Conducts assessments using record reviews, observations, disability documentation, interviews, and input from Veterans' support systems.
