Remote Forensic Psychologist - SVP/MDO Evaluations

Position Consulting Psychologist – Forensics (Department of State Hospitals, Coalinga State Hospital) Salary: $11,904.00 – $14,290.00 per month (subject to minimum salary of classification or alternate range). Responsibilities Independently evaluate, review, and risk assess extensive case files and records of individuals committed to Coalinga State Hospital as sexually violent predators (SVP) or mentally disordered offenders (MDO). Write forensic evaluation reports to determine whether patients meet SVP or MDO statutory criteria for civil commitment. Provide court testimony and depositions, typically in the patient's county of commitment. Travel to Coalinga on a regular basis for patient interviews and file reviews, and respond to subpoenas as required.
