Job Description
Northern Employee Benefits Services (NEBS) invites interested northerners to apply for three available positions on the Pension Committee, starting March 1, 2024. This is an opportunity to advocate for over 2000 employee members in NWT and Nunavut.
NEBS is a vital not-for-profit organization focused on pension and benefits plans for public sector bodies. Committee members will meet 3 to 4 times each year in Yellowknife or nearby northern communities. Candidates should have deep familiarity with NEBS and the pension landscape to effectively represent member interests.
Key Responsibilities:
• Attend meetings in committed frequency
• Voice member concerns and interests
• Work alongside the Board for effective governance
• Inform fellow members about pension issues
• Share personal experiences to enhance discussions
