The Resident Hall Director (RD) is responsible for the administration of one or more residence halls housing between 200 and 450 students and actively supports the Department's mission by making them inviting, intellectual, and inclusive communities. The RD supervises 12 Resident Assistants. The RD shares in a weekly living area on-duty rotation and the departmental recess duty rotation. The RD is responsible for a specialty area (i.e. programming, staff development, or administrative) and is the liaison for this area for all student and professional staff in their living area.
This is a live-in position, and the incumbent must reside in their assigned on-campus apartment designated by the Department of Residential Life. This is a ten-month college year position, and obligation dates are provided to staff based on the academic calendar.
