RIGGING & CRANE OPERATIONS DIVISION ASSISTANT

Summary You will serve as a RIGGING AND CRANE OPERATIONS DIVISION ASSISTANT in the RIGGING AND EQUIPMENT OPERATIONS DIVISION, LIFTING AND HANDLING DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD. Responsibilities You will conduct investigations, researching conditions to find cause of the problem, determine appropriate corrective action, take action or recommend resolution to supervisor, and follow up to ensure corrective actions are taken. You will determine operating budget requirements for the division and prepare justifications for ependitures. You will participate in division modernization and improvement program through the use of surveys, development of preventative maintenance programs, participation in study reviews, procurement of office furniture and equipment, etc. You will oversee training provided to division personnel.
