The **Intermediate and Acute Care** unit at **UNC Rex Hospital** in Raleigh, NC is a 29-bed unit averaging a 1:4 nursing ratio specializing in a diverse patient population including but not limited to:

• general and thoracic post-operative patients

• cardiovascular patients requiring drip management

• cardiac patients managing acute exacerbations and unstable angina

**Summary:** Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards. Reporting and accountable to the Nurse Manager/Director, the Clinical Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting.
