**Details of Assignment:** Emergency Department Details The Emergency Department at GSMC is a 16-bed, Level III Trauma Center and Critical Access Hospital, serving a geographically large and culturally diverse rural region in Northeast Oregon. The department provides comprehensive emergency care across the lifespan and continues to expand its clinical capabilities to meet increasing community demand. The ED is currently preparing for a May 2026 survey as part of its application to become a Primary Stroke Center, reflecting ongoing investments in emergency, trauma, and neurologic care.
