Nurse:Patient Ratios 1:1-2 dependent on acuity; may be asked to flex up to 1:3
1:1 for high acuity patients such as CRRT, IABP, Impella, etc.
Required Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?)BLS, ACLS, NIHSS,
Common diagnoses/Types of patients General- Combination ICUs
Experience or 'Must have' skills Must have 2 years of ICU experience
Prefer prior travel experience
If a 1st time traveler- then they need to have 3+ years of ICU experience & have Epic experience
Are RNs required to titrate drips? Must be comfortable titrating all critical drips
Common titratable &/or set rate drips Pressors, sedation, paralytics, antiarrhythmics, heparin, insulin, & more
Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios None; For sitter needs only
Hospitalist or Intensivist in house
RT in ICU 24/7 Designated RT for ICU- but may not be on the unit 24/7;
RNs expected to be ab...
