This Medical-Surgical RN opportunity is based in Salem, VA at a 500+ bed acute care hospital that specializes in heart and vascular care through a designated Heart Center, as well as orthopedics and spine care, mental and behavioral health, and cancer care.


The role. As a Medical-Surgical RN, you will assess patient condition at admission and throughout each shift, promptly identifying and communicating changes in status to the care team. You will carry out provider-ordered procedures and monitoring, maintain thorough and timely documentation in the patient medical record, and administer prescribed medications while monitoring for therapeutic response and managing any unintended reactions.
