**Description**

The Cardiac Surgery Acute Care unit is a dynamic and innovative 12 bed inpatient unit within the Center for Heart & Vascular Care and cares for both medical and surgical cardiovascular patients.

**This unit is acute care, with a 4:1 patient ratio** . Unit strengths: Our nurses have a genuine desire to be best of the best, demonstrate in support, dedication and a strong drive for excellence and patient satisfaction. Our unit is a professional working environment with many opportunities for personal and professional growth. 5 Anderson has achieved the Beacon Gold Award for Excellence designated by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN). Recipients of a Beacon designation demonstrate excellence in sustained unit performance and patient outcomes.

It is expected that candidates will have their North Carolina RN license prior to their start date.
