The 5NW Progressive Care Unit (PCU) specializes in post-operative vascular and thoracic medical services, including the placement of chest tubes and arterial bypasses. These patients have been stepped down from the ICU but still require a higher level of monitoring and care than a medical-surgical unit. As an RN on this team, you will interact directly with patients and their families, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and provide healthcare education as needed.
