Road Safety / Traffic Engineer

Job Description

A fantastic opportunity within a growing team to work as a Road Safety / Transportation Engineer on projects across the North Island.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, analyze and design civil engineering projects, including scheme assessments, crash reduction studies and road safety auditing.
• Prepare traffic impact assessments and peer‑review other teams’ assessments.
• Present findings in public forums such as planning hearings and council meetings.
• Assist clients with design briefs, preliminary programming and estimates.
• Plan, coordinate and control project activities to meet technical, budget, and programme goals.
• Manage project financials, invoicing and reporting.

Qualifications

• University‑level qualification in civil or transportation engineering, preferably with a focus on road safety.
