Rural Hospital Medicine Trainee – Bay of Plenty, NZ

The New Zealand Government is seeking a Rural Hospital Medicine Trainee to commence in February 2027 based at Whakatāne Hospital in the Bay of Plenty. This role is part of the Division of Rural Hospital Medicine Training Programme, offering accredited training and a supportive clinical team.

Responsibilities include providing continuous medical cover, engaging in patient care particularly for a Māori population, and participating in multidisciplinary teamwork.
