Job Description
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- COMSOC 1 & 2 / SAMTRAC / Relevant
- Experience of Health and Safety on an opencast Mine at least 5 years
- Beneficiation plant experience, conveyor experience
- Environmental experience
- Blasting experience
- Load and hall experience
- Grade 12 and valid Driver’s license
SKILLS:
Computer literate (MS Office)
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Overall coordination of mine’s occupational Health and Safety in support of SHEQ Manager
- Ensure all legal appointments are up to date and in line with directives
- Conduct PTO’s
- Safety inspections and reporting
- Coordinating SHE Meetings
- Risk assessments
- SOP training
- Surveys
- Ensure safety equipment are maintained
- Ensure inspections on machinery are done
