Salon Stylist

Hair Stylist Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong foundation and passion for hair with at least five years of work experience as a Hairstylist, Hairdresser, Colorist, or similar role
• Proficiency in hair straightening and curling methods, using hot irons and curlers
• Must have customer service experience, knowing how to properly greet in-person and over the phone
• Must understand the importance of upselling and building rapport with clients.
• The ability to communicate compassionately with customers and understand a look they want, even if they don't know the technical terms for a certain style.
• Hands-on experience with various coloring techniques.
• Experience using different types of scissors, trimmers, and other tools to create hairstyles.
• An understanding of the different types of hairstyles a person can request and how to properly achieve those looks without damage.
