SGS is seeking a detail-focused and organised Sample Receipt Officer to join our Portsmith team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, accuracy and teamwork in a fast-paced laboratory environment. You will help ensure soil, water and air samples are received, logged, stored and prepared correctly so our laboratory can deliver high-quality, timely results for clients.
What you’ll be doing
- Receive, identify, label and store samples accurately.
- Prepare and package samples for testing or courier dispatch.
- Conduct sub-sampling where required while maintaining contamination control.
- Monitor and record sample storage fridge temperatures.
- Follow laboratory QA/QC, safety and compliance procedures.
