Job Description
The Scientist I (Imaging Assay Development) plays a key role in designing, optimising and validating immunofluorescence and FISH-based assays. This is a hands‑on, technically rich role, working across the full assay lifecycle in a regulated setting, collaborating closely with molecular scientists and bioinformaticians.
Principal Accountabilities
- Design, optimise, and validate IF and FISH imaging assays
- Develop multiplex staining protocols and signal amplification strategies
- Operate and maintain fluorescence microscopy and imaging platforms
- Undertake additional ad hoc activities as required
Qualifications
- MSc or PhD in Biomedical Sciences or related field
- 1–2 years’ experience in imaging assay development
- Strong hands‑on expertise in immunofluorescence and/or FISH
- Attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality data
- Flexible, can‑do approach
