Position Details

Position OverviewUnder the direct supervision of the School Principal and in accordance with established policies and procedures, the Teacher Intensive Resource performs a variety of tasks necessary to support direct and indirect instruction for identified students. Caseload would be made up of students most likely to be on a certificate of completion.

The Intensive Resource Teacher develops and implements an Individualized Educational Program (IEP) for each student. The teacher provides direct student instruction. Coordinates the work of instructional aides and other support staff. This individual will strive to team with related service staff, parents, and other outside agencies in helping each individual student reach his or her maximum potential.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors Degree or Higher

Valid MI Teaching Certificate

Endorsements in Special Education (LD, CI, or EI)
