SECURITY ASSISTANT (RANGE OPERATIONS)

Summary You will serve as a SECURITY ASSISTANT (RANGE OPERATIONS) in the FORCE PROTECTION DIVISION of NAVSTA EVERETT SEC DET. Responsibilities You will perform and/or monitor standardized procedures of established hazardous waste management to include managing waste collection and disposal area, and maintaining Waste Identification Documents (WIDs) on all waste collection containers. You will conduct small arms brass cleaning duties to clear range of live or active small arms ammunition rounds. You will document small arms range operations schedules (e.g., range cleaning, brass removal and certification, facility management) to ensure the range remains operational. You will perform duties as a Range Safety Officer (RSO) as needed. RSO's are certified small arms instructors. You will perform administrative duties documenting facility management of ammunition, weapons, and discrepancies.
