About the role
Justteachers is recruiting a committed SEMH Teaching Assistant for a specialist setting in Corby. This full-time role begins June 2026 and runs until February 2027. You will support pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs, helping them access education in a structured environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide classroom support for pupils with SEMH needs
- Encourage emotional regulation and positive behaviour
- Support engagement in lessons and activities
- Assist with behaviour management strategies
- Work closely with teachers and support staff
Pre-requisites
- Experience supporting young people with SEMH needs
- Calm, resilient, and patient approach
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one
- Two references within the last two years from a related field
