Job Description
Overview
The London Borough of Harrow is looking for a SEN Casework Officer to manage a specified caseload with regard to the Education, Health and Care (EHC) assessment and review process for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, across the 0 - 25-year-old age range.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the statutory assessment process for children and young people with SEN.
- Prepare draft, final and amended EHC Plans.
- Attend annual reviews and present case‑specific requests to the weekly assessment and review panel.
- Provide advice and guidance to parents, children, schools and other professionals regarding the SEND Code of Practice 2015.
- Work closely with service providers – education, health, social care and the voluntary sector – to ensure effective and timely delivery of the EHC process and EHC Plans.
