Job Description
Under the responsibility of the Purchasing Manager, the position holder oversees and coordinates all purchasing of accessories in Canada.
- Analyses the entire supply chain, identifies and evaluates potential suppliers and opportunities to reduce costs and increase value.
- Negotiates, administers and reviews purchase contracts with regional or local Canadian vendors (price, schedule, quality, and terms) for products, materials, and/or services in conjunction with Corporate Purchasing.
- Establishes long‑term partnerships to ensure a reliable and cost‑effective supply chain, including sourcing certain commodities from local or regional Canadian suppliers.
- Consults with Product Line Manager and other company employees to gather necessary information to procure required accessories in the most effective fashion and at the best value to the company; verifies all required information for the proper specifications of purchase requests.
