Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has a new opportunity for a Senior Commercial Contracts and Procurement Solicitor on a 3 months contract with a possibility of further extension.

Summary of Responsibilities and Personal Duties

• Ensure that legal advice and assistance is provided efficiently and expeditiously both personally and by other staff within the Team. Manage and co‑ordinate the work of more junior staff and provide advice, guidance and direction as necessary.
• Deputise for the Chief Commercial Lawyer as appropriate.
• Undertake a varied and complex caseload as required primarily involved contract advice to include procurement advice, drafting of contract documentation, negotiation with providers, suppliers and contractors and their lawyers in relation to contract terms and conditions and provide advice on insolvency, insurance and intellectual property as required.
