Senior Data Scientist - Time-Series Forecasting

SapienX is building out a data science team to solve a hard, high-impact forecasting problem in retail — turning volatile, real-world demand into reliable decisions that reduce waste and lost sales. We're a fast-moving, well-backed team where each person has outsized impact.

We're hiring a Senior Data Scientist to own demand forecasting end-to-end, from problem framing to production. You'll build the models that drive real operational decisions, working closely with product and engineering to ship models that hold up outside the notebook.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and improve time-series forecasting models for real-world demand
• Own the full modeling lifecycle: exploration, validation, deployment, and monitoring
• Turn messy operational data into reliable, decision-ready forecasts
• Set a high bar for statistical rigor and help shape the team as we grow
