Job Description

Central Employment is currently supporting a Newcastle based group of companies with the recruitment of a Senior Payroll Officer. This is a key role within a small Payroll team and will involve managing multiple end-to-end payrolls. Role Responsibilities Manage all aspects of payroll, including processing starters and leavers, timesheet analysis, holiday pay calculations, statutory sick/maternity pay (SSP/SMP), HMRC submissions, and Payroll Year End obligations. Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, including overtime, shift allowances, statutory payments, and National Minimum Wage. Administer the pension scheme in line with Auto Enrolment and pension legislation. Respond to payroll queries relating to tax, NI, pension, and Auto Enrolment.
