Location: West. Duration: Full time role. Hours: 5.5 days, office hours.

• Review written order forms (medication chart, medication record or prescription) to determine patient drug needs, ensuring no overdoses, toxic reactions, or ambiguous prescriptions; contact physicians as necessary.
• Fill prescriptions as ordered by attending physician by:
  • Filling bottles, packaging material, dosage form and other packaging forms with measured amounts of medication in accordance with prescription specifications.
  • Documenting supplies used and labelling containers (including directions for use).
• Supervise the compounding and/or dispensing of medication (unit dose, intravenous admixtures, investigational drugs and outpatient prescriptions).
• Make recommendations about appropriate drug therapy to doctors.
• Report adverse drug reactions encountered by patients.
