Senior Procurement executive (Mega Construction Project)

Responsibility

This role is under one of the leading and largest logistics provider in Malaysia, focuses on controlling costs and managing logistics vendors for large construction and infrastructure projects (such as oil & gas EPCC, public transport, and infrastructure developments).

• Review project costing before work starts to ensure logistics costs are realistic and controlled
• Monitor ongoing project costs and compare against budget to avoid cost overruns
• Maintain approved vendor rate database and ensure pricing is always up to date
• Ensure all Purchase Orders follow approved rates, contracts, and company policies
• Verify vendor invoices against agreed rates, contracts, and POs to ensure accuracy
• Identify and highlight cost variances, overcharging, or billing issues
• Work with internal teams to source, evaluate, and onboard logistics vendors
