Job Description
Senior Producer – Breakfast (TVNZ, Auckland). A senior leadership role reporting to the Executive Producer, responsible for driving a high‑performing team that delivers compelling daily content across the Breakfast show and its digital platforms.
Responsibilities
- Support the Executive Producer, lead and manage a team of producers, reporters and presenters in producing daily content for the Breakfast programme and its digital platforms.
- Work closely with the EP and presenters to ensure editorially sound content and maintain high editorial judgement and standards.
- Provide strong editorial direction for Breakfast in conjunction with the EP and the Planning Editor.
- Lead decision‑making from 4am, deploy resources to maximise coverage of breaking news and events.
- Communicate and manage breaking news to position Breakfast as the go‑to platform for NewZealanders seeking the latest information.
