Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) is seeking an AO5 Senior Ranger (Compliance) to provide strategic direction across the South East Queensland Region, strengthen compliance capability and represent the region on the State Compliance Optimization Group.
In this role, you will deliver expert compliance guidance and support to management areas, lead investigations, and oversee, negotiate and resolve complex compliance matters. You will work closely with police and other agencies, address visitor management issues, assess developments near parks and forests, and provide legislative and policy advice to senior leaders and stakeholders, including on Native Title and cultural heritage matters.
You will also play a key role in building a strong compliance culture through mentoring, training and promoting safe field practices.
