About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Seat Systems Software Certification Engineer based in Bristol, United Kingdom, to support the growing BCA Seats Statement of Work (SOW). The role involves certifying and delivering safe and reliable airborne software components for seat‑related embedded systems, in collaboration with suppliers and global Boeing sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the software certification strategy and execution for seat‑related embedded systems, including seat controllers, motors, occupant sensors, and integrated cabin control interfaces.
- Act as the primary technical authority for DO‑178C/ED‑12C‑based certification efforts and coordinate cross‑functional and supplier activities to achieve regulatory approvals.
- Mentor junior engineers, drive process improvements, and represent Boeing in regulatory reviews and supplier negotiations.
