Job Description
Job Purpose
To monitor and control the operation of evaporators, steam turbines, sea water pumps and all associated ancillary equipment in order to achieve the maximum production of potable and distilled water within acceptable quality standard as well as ensuring optimum output from the steam turbines.
Key Accountabilities
- Vigilantly monitor all operating parameters, accurately identifying, immediately recording and reporting all abnormal trends and alarms to the Desal Supervisor and others concerned in P&D.
- Identify plant abnormalities/faults and assist in rectifying them by suggesting possible solutions and reporting them accurately to the Supervisor for further action.
- Take appropriate action on verbal and written instructions from the Shift Supervisor, relating to water production and power generation requirements.
