Senior Underwriter, Accident & Health

Responsibilities

• Execute underwriting for Accident & Health portfolio (Personal Accident, Travel and Health) in line with company risk appetite and growth targets.
• Drive new business growth and manage renewal portfolio to ensure profitability.
• Involve in product development and system‑related enhancement.
• Monitor portfolio performance (e.g., loss ratio, trends) and take corrective actions where required.
• Assess and underwrite risks within delegated authority, including referrals and exceptions.
• Ensure compliance with BNM guidelines and internal underwriting governance.
• Deliver timely quotes and renewals to support business turnaround expectations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, agents, and intermediaries.
• Work closely with internal teams (Claims, Policy Admin, Compliance) to ensure smooth operations.
