Position Summary/Description:
This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that may include a partially remote work location, consistent with System Office policy. UNC Chapel Hill employees are generally required to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned duty station.
UNC’s wireless network includes more than 12,000 access points, making it one of the largest higher education wireless deployments in the country. The campus has long operated on Aruba infrastructure; in the summer of 2025 the University selected Cisco Meraki as its wireless platform and has begun migrating to Meraki using a local gateway architecture. This position will help carry out that migration while keeping daily operations running smoothly on both platforms.
