The ideal candidate will combine strong technical surveying knowledge with practical construction experience and the ability to work closely with project managers, site engineers, subcontractors, and machine operators in demanding site environments. As a Heavy Civil Setting Out Engineer, you will be responsible for interpreting engineering drawings, establishing control points, transferring design data to the field, and verifying that construction activities are executed accurately.
You will use modern surveying instruments such as total stations, GPS/GNSS equipment, digital levels, and data collection software to perform setting out and as-built surveys. You will also help identify discrepancies between design intent and site conditions, raising technical issues early so that delays, rework, and cost overruns can be minimized.
