Job Summary

The K’wak’walat’si Child and Family Services (KCFS) team is a Delegated C3 Indigenous Child and Family Services Agency under the ‘Namgis Community Services department. KCFS receives its delegation through the Provincial Director of Child Welfare, who gives the agency the authority to undertake administration of parts of the Child, Family and Community Service Act (CFCSA). Under its current delegation agreement, KCFS administers C3 (family services).

KCFS focuses on prevention services, with a goal of maintaining family units wherever possible, while ensuring children are safe. KCFS aims to provide proactive strategies and solutions to promote healthy families and outcomes while mitigating potential risk.
