Solar engineer

Job Responsibilities Prepare and study technical drawings and specifications of electrical systems. Work with other engineers and clients to improve or develop solar products. Use computer-assisted design software and performance analysis equipment to improve controls and instrumentation. Direct and coordinate product development tests and assembly activities. Design, test and manage the manufacture of electric components used in solar systems. Implement, maintain and improve electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, and components for PV systems. Teach photovoltaic theory and practice to engineers, technicians, and installers. Design the electrical circuitry of solar panels and supporting devices for panels, such as inverters and wiring systems. Understand solar resource data and use it to conduct feasibility studies & technology evaluations.
