Key Responsibilities



1. System Design & Simulation

Yield Modelling: Generate high-accuracy solar energy yield predictions and battery degradation models using industry software (PVSyst, Helioscope, PVSol).

BESS Integration: Architect containerized and modular Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) for load shifting, peak shaving, and backup power applications.

Component Specification: Evaluate, select, and specify Tier-1 PV modules, string/central inverters, battery cells, energy management systems (EMS), and mounting structures.



2. Electrical Engineering & Compliance

Line Diagrams: Draft comprehensive AC/DC single-line diagrams (SLDs), three-line diagrams, and plant layouts in AutoCAD.

Grid Code Compliance: Ensure all technical designs strictly conform to the South African Grid Code, NRS 097-2-1 (embedded generation), and SANS 10142-1 standards.
