Spacecraft Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and implementation of the ground segment of a satellite communications system.

• Fully conversant with the construction and performance of the ground segment and able to represent it to the customer.
• Management of more than one technical engineering and science organization.
• Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
• Manages the activities of subordinate associate managers, supervisors, or exempt professionals.
• Guides by function practices and defined management precedents.
• Maintains communication with internal personnel, external customers, and peers at various levels.
