Temporary SEN Teaching Assistant – Hackney
A friendly and inclusive special needs school in Hackney is looking for a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to provide temporary support to pupils with ASD and MLD. This is a rewarding opportunity to help children grow in confidence, independence, and learning.
What you’ll be doing
Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups
Encouraging communication, emotional wellbeing, and positive behaviour
Assisting with structured routines and sensory‑friendly activities
Working closely with teachers and support staff
What we’re looking for
Someone calm, patient, and committed
Experience with ASD or MLD (school or community setting)
A team player with a genuine passion for SEN education
