Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive specialist gastroenterology care in line with best practice guidelines and regulatory standards. Diagnose and manage a wide range of gastrointestinal, liver and digestive disorders. Perform endoscopic procedures and relevant diagnostic interventions. Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging and diagnostic investigations. Develop and manage personalized treatment plans for acute and chronic conditions. Provide expert clinical opinions and take independent responsibility for patient care. Collaborate with primary care physicians, surgeons and allied health professionals to optimize outcomes. Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives and departmental development. Support medical education and ongoing professional development activities. Promote patient education, preventive care and long-term disease management.
