Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to support key accounting operations for a Contract position based in Overland Park, Kansas. This role will play an important part in maintaining accurate financial records, managing close activities, and ensuring balance sheet accounts are properly supported. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting skills, sound judgment, and a disciplined approach to reconciliation and reporting.

Responsibilities:
• Lead monthly closing activities by preparing schedules, reviewing account activity, and helping ensure timely completion of financial reporting tasks.
• Prepare and record journal entries with supporting documentation to maintain accurate and complete accounting records.
• Oversee general ledger activity, investigate discrepancies, and resolve posting issues to preserve data integrity.
