Job Description
The purpose of this position is to manage accounts receivable for an assigned portfolio of customers, generally $5 to $20 million, to ensure timely collection of invoices, minimize losses, identify and assist in the resolution of customer disputes, and deliver outstanding and personalized customer service.
Manages assigned portfolio of accounts (ranging from $5 to $20 million & 50 to 125 accts by monitoring account balances and agings, establishing strong relationships with customers, including an understanding of their business, ensuring the timely payment of their account, and the identifying and recording any problems or disputes in accordance with company's collection action policy. Minimizes risk of loss by identifying potentially high-risk accounts (excessive delinquency, exceeds credit limit, negative trends) and making appropriate recommendations to management on corrective action (account restriction, cod, holding shipments, etc.).
