Job Description
Mission of the Role
The Pursuit Program Buyer is responsible for managing the interface between program and suppliers, anticipating the specific requirements for programs on the Pursuit phase (supplier technologies, geographical location, and target costs), ensuring the commodity panel strategy is appropriate to support the program, and piloting suppliers from the agreed supplier panel in order to achieve program targets.
Key Objectives of this Role
- Maximize profits for new business via a properly costed BOM and use to-be-gain expertise to challenge design assumptions as seen on other projects to help bring costs down.
- Deliver optimized costed BOMs from a pricing and business improvements over the year (Year over Year savings) to help drive Visteon's profitability and material margin.
