Responsibilities

• Ensure the proper instructional environment and building safety through the use of building energy management and safety systems, in accordance with established practices and standards.
• Oversee janitorial staff to ensure that assigned duties are performed.
• Carry out a preventive maintenance program as established by the Strait Regional Centre for Education.
• Inspect, on a regular basis, all areas of the school (including the interior and exterior of the building) and grounds, performing repairs and ensuring that required janitorial assistance is provided.
• Ensure the proper utilization and control of building materials, tools, equipment and custodial supplies.
