SRO - School Resource Officer, Dawson Springs Independent School System

A School Resource Officer (SRO) is a law enforcement officer working in schools,acting as a liaison, educator, and law enforcer to create a safe environment, deter crime (drugs, weapons, violence), provide mentorship, teach safety/law topics, and manage emergencies, balancing law enforcement with community policing to build positive relationships with students and staff.
