Staff Accountant (General Ledger)

Summary This position serves as a subject matter expert in accounting policy and financial reporting within the Financial Reporting Branch. The incumbent leads or supports general ledger reconciliation, trial balance preparation, financial statement development, and ensures accurate external reporting to Treasury. Responsibilities The duties may include, but are not limited to: Reviews and reconciles the agency’s general ledger, trial balances, and subsidiary ledgers, identifying and resolving discrepancies to ensure accurate financial reporting. Leads or coordinates the preparation and analysis of agency financial statements, including eliminations, imputed costs, and other required supporting components. Ensures the accuracy and completeness of external financial reporting and GTAS submissions to Treasury, collaborating with OCFO and Financial Management Services.
